An album cover isn't a placeholder for the music inside. An album's sound and artwork go together. Album covers enhance one's listening experience and can even immerse the listener in the world of the album before they even start listening to it. Therefore, an album cover must effectively capture the whole idea, sound and feel of the music.

 

I started this project as a way to experiment with and develop my design and illustration abilities. I first pick an album that I enjoy or is meaningful to me, listen to it, and try to illustrate the themes or emotions it portrays.
